Raheem DeVaughn & Phil Ade set to rock Lovenoise

This Sunday, Music City is in for an awesome treat.

During this week's installment of Nashville's premier urban entertainment experience known as Lovenoise, Grammy-nominated and critically acclaimed soul musician Raheem DeVaughn will hit the stage.

In support of his most-recent album, "Love Behind the Melody," DeVaughn will have the opportunity to entertain in Music City for the one-night event held in BB Kings on 2nd Avenue Downtown.

A steady performer and composer of what used to be known as Neo-Soul music, DeVaughn seems a perfect fit for the soulful event that caters to the urban sophisticate with its trademark laid-back atmosphere, spoken-word poetry sets and of course – live performances.

Raheen DeVaughn first broke into the mainstream music scene with his debut album, "The Love Experience." The debut album featured the popular hit singles, You and Guess Who Loves You More and earned him his first of many Grammy nominations. The aforementioned album and its follow-up, "The Return of the Magnificent," helped catapult the artist into full-blown fame.

On the strength of his lead single, "Customer," from his third and newest album, "Love Behind the Melody," he has maintained his presence in the game and continues to draw crowds to his performances.

While he has earned a great amount of public notoriety, his journey began long before he made a dent in the Billboard Hot 100.

Before making a splash in the urban music landscape, The D.C.-area native built his chops performing on the underground music circuit, performing with the likes of rapper Asheru and musical collective, Unspoken Heard.

Boasting a buttery tenor and smooth falsetto, the soulful R&B crooner mixes warm sensuality and strong lyrical wordplay to engender him to both male and female listeners.

DeVaughn also manages to present his trademark tender subject matter with a little more gangster than is usually connected to members of the genre. This fact gives him weight and substance that many feel is lacking in the average musical performer.

This Sunday night fans of music and soul will have an opportunity to see a legend in the making, do what he does best - put on a show.
